2024 Tour Championship purse, prize money: Payouts from record $100M bonus pool for FedEx Cup Playoffs and Finals

The biggest prize fund in professional golf is at stake this week as the 2024 Tour Championship kicks off at East Lake Golf Club. With the PGA Tour’s top 30 players competing for their share of the $100 million FedEx Cup bonus pool – up $25 million from last year – competitors will have a chance to see staggering figures in their back accounts by the end of the week.

The total prize pool for the Signature Event and the first two Playoff events was $20 million, which is $5 million less than what the eventual winner will receive this week. With a $7 million increase over the past two seasons, the winner’s share is the largest in PGA Tour history and an increase of $10 million over 2019 – the first year of the staggered start format.

Scottie Scheffler is the only man to earn more than $25 million this season as he won the Masters, Players Championship and four Signature events – the six highest-paying events of the year. Xander Schauffele earned nearly $20 million himself thanks to two major victories, while Hideki Matsuyama, Wyndham Clark and Rory McIlroy are among the eight to earn more in 2024.

Players finishing in the top five will receive a minimum of $5 million, while players in the top 12 will have seven digits next to their names. Every player in the field will receive at least half a million dollars for qualifying for the Tour Championship.

Let’s take a look at the payout list for the 30 players participating in the 2024 Tour Championship. The other 40 players who initially qualified for the FedEx Cup Playoffs will split the remaining $17.05 million among themselves.
