A happy Ben Affleck spends quality time with his kids eating ice cream after Jennifer Lopez files for divorce

Ben Affleck looked all happy as he took his two youngest children — Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 — out for ice cream in Los Angeles on Friday night.

The ‘Good Will Hunting’ star looked dapper in khaki pants and a green button-down top, which he paired with black and white Nike sneakers.

His children — whom he also lives with with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner — dress more modestly.

Seraphina opted for cargo shorts and an oversized gray sweater that read “Farm Camp” in green, while Samuel wore gray sweats and a blue graphic T-shirt.

Affleck’s joyful outing on Friday night was a stark contrast to the sombre face he displayed on Thursday evening, when he was spotted taking Seraphina to see a movie with some friends.

At that time he appeared a little distracted and his photograph was taken while he was concentrating on the mobile.

Both of his trips to Los Angeles this week came after his estranged wife Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce on the second anniversary of their wedding ceremony in Georgia.

According to a Page Six source, the “On the Floor” hitmaker, 55, filed to enroll on this special day to protect herself as she tried to save her marriage, but Affleck, 52, showed no interest in doing so.

,[Lopez] “She gave it her all; she put her heart and soul into it,” a person close to the singer told Page Six on Saturday. “She would do anything to make it work.”

The insider added, “She left herself open to criticism, ridicule and countless negative people who told her it was a bad idea, that it was doomed, that there was a reason it didn’t work the first time.”

Page Six learned in May that the “Argo” star is ready to move on from their relationship and feels he has finally “come to his senses,” and decided their romance is doomed.

Earlier this month, another Hollywood source told Us that Lopez was “furious” and felt “disrespected” by Affleck, as she was sure their chance at love was finally over.

“He’s humiliated because she’s made a big deal out of the fact that he’s the love of her life,” our source said. “They’ve already had two weddings in the last two years. That’s some kind of record, they’re not some little kids.”

The two married in Las Vegas in July 2022, then invited family and friends to Affleck’s Georgia home for a formal ceremony.

In a full-circle moment, they said “yes” after 20 years of engagement.

Page Six’s insider also said that Lopez is upset because her kids are involved.

Although both former couples had no children together, they took in all five of their children together when they married.

In addition to Seraphina and Samuel, Affleck also has an 18-year-old daughter, Violet, with Garner.

Lopez also has 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with Marc Anthony.

The “Jersey Girl” star revealed April 26 as the official date of her and Affleck’s split.

They cited mutual differences as the reason for their separation.
