Daejeon, South Korea: The latest K-drama, ‘A Killer Paradox’, offers a thrilling plot that centers around a college student who accidentally kills a stranger. Starring Choi Woo-shik and Son Suk-ku, the eight-episode series premiered on Friday, February 9, 2024, on Netflix.

The pilot episode introduces us to Lee Tang (Choi Woo-shik), who skillfully balances between the challenges of college and a part-time job at a convenience store.

Li Tang, while returning from his shift, comes across one of his drunken customers lying unconscious on the street. Concerned for the man’s well-being, Tang contacted a friend for assistance. Unfortunately, in his drunken state, the man became agitated and aggressive and demanded Tang to leave him without any disturbance.

Amidst the attack, memories of past bullying begin to flood Tang’s mind. He takes out a hammer from his bag and hits it on the man’s head who collapses, collapses and dies.

Detective Jang Nan-gam and his team conclude that two drunk acquaintances murdered each other during a heated argument. It is revealed that Lee Gwang-hun attacked Kim Myeong-jin for possibly having an extramarital affair with Lee’s wife. The physical altercation ultimately led to the death of both men.

However, upon receiving the DNA report, the police revealed that Kim’s real name was Yeo Bu-il, a serial killer who went missing after murdering a family in 2009. He was also accused of the rape and murder of a group of college students. ,

Li Tang finds solace and courage in this revelation, which reduces the mental burden of fear and guilt that has been haunting him for killing an ‘innocent’ man.
