Alex Rodriguez posts cryptic quote about ‘direction’ after his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck

Alex Rodriguez has entered the chat.

The retired athlete shared a cryptic quote on Instagram Stories on Tuesday after ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck.

The 49-year-old former MLB player reposted a statement of his own that read, “You either go one way or the other, only you can decide the direction.”

Rodriguez began dating Lopez, 55, in 2017 and got down on one knee two years later.

The former couple ended their engagement in April 2021.

“We have realized that we are better off as friends and look forward to remaining so,” the couple wrote in a joint statement at the time. “We wish each other and each other’s children all the best.”

That same year, Lopez reconciled with Affleck, to whom she had been engaged from 2002 to 2004.

The 52-year-old actor proposed in April 2022, and married his “Gigli” co-star in a Las Vegas wedding in July.

They remarried in August 2022 in Georgia — the same day Lopez filed for divorce two years later.

The “Let’s Get Loud” singer revealed the date of their separation as April 26.

She and Affleck have been living separately, with Page Six reporting in May that the Oscar winner had “come to an understanding” about their “dream” romance.

Another source told Us in July that the pair had been distant for months.

Before Affleck and Lopez’s relationship went into turmoil, Rodriguez wished his ex-wife “all the best” during an appearance on CNN.

During the October 2022 interview, he also praised Lopez’s “smart and beautiful and amazing” 16-year-old children, Emme and Max.

The businessman has since moved in with fitness instructor Jack Cordeiro.

Lopez has twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck is dad to Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

The former couple brought their eldest two children to Connecticut over the weekend to deliver Violet to her Yale University dormitory.

Garner, 52, has described herself as “devastated” over the teen’s runaway scandal. She and Affleck were previously married from 2005 to 2018 and has supported Affleck during his separation from Lopez.
