Alison Holker begins a new love story nearly 2 years after the death of her husband Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss
Alison Holker has found love again.
The 36-year-old shared a glimpse of her new relationship on social media, a year and a half after the suicide of her husband, Stephen “Twitch” Boss.
Holkar on Wednesday posted a photo on Instagram that showed two shadows, one of which was herself, holding hands with the mystery man.
He also posted a red heart emoji along with the photo.
Fans flocked to the comments section to show their support for the “So You Think You Can Dance” judge.
“This has been a long time coming. So proud of you for taking this leap,” one person shared, while another added: “Life is for living and loving. You are teaching your kids that it’s okay to live. I wish you every happiness.”
Extending the sweet messages, a user wrote, “Love has a way of renewing itself, even after the deepest of losses. Finding the courage to open your heart again after a journey like this shows the resilience of your soul and the beauty of the love you share.”
He concluded, “May this new chapter bring you the joy, togetherness and peace you deserve, honoring the love you will always hold in your heart while also embracing the possibilities of tomorrow.”
Boss died in 2022 at age 40, and the couple have three children: daughters Wesley, 16, and Zia, 4, and son Maddox, 8.
In June, Holker, who married Boss in 2013, reflected on how her children handled their father’s death, telling People magazine that they did so “with a lot of grace and kindness.”
“We’ve always had a very close relationship as a family,” the reality star continued. “But now it’s reached a new level. There’s a new level of respect, patience and understanding. And the kind of conversations I’m able to have and have with my kids is something I’ve never seen in any other family before.”
“It was a very sad and traumatic event, but it brought us together,” Holker said.
Despite this tragedy, she remained hopeful that she would find her life partner again.
“I think I’m a person who always says this quote, ‘Romanticize your life.’ And I think, even though I’ve been through a lot, I still believe in living a fabulous life,” Holker told the outlet. “There hasn’t been a single moment when I haven’t thought to myself, ‘I still want to live a fabulous life.’”
The mother of three said she “still wants to find love, still wants to travel the world. I still want to see and experience new things with new people, new energy, my friends, my family, a loved one — a possibility — and my kids.”
Most importantly, Holkar wanted to be an example for her children.
“I want them to see that they can learn to trust and love again,” she confessed. “It doesn’t have to be over.”
And when it comes to dating? As Holker said, “I’ll take it as my own.”
