Anne Hathaway shows off her pimple spots in makeup-free selfie: ‘Stars, they’re just like us’
Anne Hathaway is keeping it real.
The 41-year-old Oscar winner shared a fresh-faced, makeup-free selfie on Instagram on Friday, showing off the star-shaped pimple spot on her face front and center.
“Stars, they’re just like us,” Hathaway wrote alongside her photo.
Justin and Hailey Bieber are among the other celebrities who have proudly displayed their Starface Hydro-Stars in public; these attractively shaped hydrocolloid patches are designed to absorb fluid, reduce redness, fade blemishes and prevent bruising.
“See how she used the star pimple patch instead of popping a pimple? Very polite, very careful, very cute,” one fan commented on Hathaway’s post, referencing the viral TikTok trend.
Another said, “How can someone look so beautiful with pimple spots.”
Hathaway is no stranger to revealing her beauty secrets on social media — and she’s always taken good care of her skin.
“My mother had some skin problems and my grandmother had skin cancer. So they taught me to wear factor 30 [SPF 30] “I wear sun cream every day. I also carry an umbrella when I go out walking in the sun and I use a spray tan if I want to look like I’ve been sunbathing,” the “Idea of You” actress told the Sun in 2012.
Hathaway’s longtime facialist Su-Man confirmed her level of commitment, telling Net-a-Porter in 2022, “Anne is incredibly disciplined when it comes to her skin.”
Whatever she’s doing, it’s definitely working.
