Ben Affleck has not been in contact with Jennifer Lopez’s kids for a ‘long time’ due to divorce: report
Ben Affleck continues to make an effort to spend time with Jennifer Lopez’s kids following their divorce, but despite this, he has reportedly lost touch with both of his kids.
An insider told People Sunday that Affleck is “not in touch” with Lopez’s 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, even though he is “still close” to the actor’s three children — Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 — and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
“The fact that he hasn’t seen her kids in a long time — it feels like he’s gone, but he’s especially close to her kids,” the source said, referring to J.Lo’s various outings with her stepkids over the summer.
The source added that the “Let’s Get Loud” hitmaker has also publicly praised Affleck for being a good father in the past.
,[Jennifer] “He went out there and told the world what a great dad he was,” the source told the outlet, noting that the “Argo” actor is “close to his three kids.”
According to the insider, Lopez also maintains a close relationship with her ex-husband Marc Anthony’s children from his previous marriage.
“She stays in touch with the kids and she’s a good mother,” he said.
Representatives for Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Over the summer, Lopez was spotted hanging out with Affleck’s kids, despite their marital woes.
“Just because she’s not with Ben anymore doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about his kids,” a source told People earlier this month.
In July, Violet joined the “Marry Me” star in the Hamptons before starting her freshman year at Yale University.
The stepmom-stepdaughter duo looked affectionate as they walked hand in hand with each other’s arms around each other while grabbing an ice cream.
Earlier this month, the “Selena” star also spent a day shopping with Samuel before dropping him off at the Oscar winner’s rental home in Brentwood, California.
More than a week later, Lopez filed for divorce from the “Gone Girl” actor on Aug. 20, listing their separation date as April 26.
The estranged couple eloped and married in Las Vegas in July 2022, and had a large ceremony with their loved ones in Georgia a month later.
Following J.Lo’s divorce filing, a source told Page Six that both her and Affleck’s children were ready to move on from their separation, saying, “Her kids are taking it well, as are his kids.”
Amid the separation, the “Town” star has been spending quality time with his kids lately, including dropping Violet off at Yale together with Garner and having a movie night with Seraphina in Marina del Rey, California.
