Ben Affleck looks stressed, smokes cigarette a day after Jennifer Lopez files for divorce

Ben Affleck appeared stressed as he was spotted smoking a cigarette a day after his wife Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce on their second wedding anniversary.

The “Argo” star smoked a smoke with the windows down while heading to his Los Angeles office on Wednesday afternoon.

Affleck took off his wedding ring while his hand was hanging out the window.

The actor returned to work after arriving back on the west coast on Tuesday with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

The former couple helped their 18-year-old daughter Violet move into her Yale University dormitory in New Haven, Connecticut, last week.

Affleck, 52, appeared in good spirits when he was photographed disembarking from a private jet with Garner, 52, and their 15-year-old daughter Seraphina, just hours before Lopez called off their marriage.

Later that day, the “Gone Girl” star was spotted walking in the parking garage outside her workplace, amid reports that the actress has filed for divorce.

Lopez, 55, served the papers in a Los Angeles court on the second anniversary of their wedding ceremony in Georgia.

A source told Page Six that the “On the Floor” singer initially filed documents on the milestone date to show she was “a woman not to stand in her own way.”

The former couple, who eloped and married in Las Vegas in July 2022, did not sign a pre-nup agreement.

Lopez listed their separation date as April 26.

Insiders previously told Page Six that the couple’s marriage was over in March, while another said Affleck had “come to an understanding” about his relationship with the pop star.

While the two have not spoken out about their split, they have spent a lot of time apart from one another, as Lopez attended the Met Gala alone and traveled around New York without the actor.

As for the “Good Will Hunting” star, he remained in Los Angeles filming “The Accountant 2” and spending time with his kids.

Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in 2021 after calling off their engagement in 2004.

Sources previously told Us that the “Selena” star felt “humiliated” and “disappointed” that her second attempt failed because he “overhyped it that she was the love of his life.”

We were also told that the father of three did not file for divorce to save his estranged wife from embarrassment.

After months of dodging breakup rumors, the former spouses and their five kids are now ready to move on, insiders told Page Six.

Affleck and Garner share 12-year-old children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, while Lopez and her ex-husband Marc Anthony have 16-year-old twins Max and Emme.
