Ben Affleck smiles as he steps off a private jet with his ex Jennifer Garner hours before Jennifer Lopez files for divorce

Ben Affleck appeared to be in good spirits as he stepped off a private jet with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner just hours before Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce.

On Tuesday, the former couple arrived in Los Angeles after dropping off their daughter Violet at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

The ring-less actor, who wore a button-up shirt and black pants, was all smiles as he walked down the plane’s stairs carrying a leather bag.

Garner followed shortly after, wearing a black T-shirt and green cargo pants with a backpack slung over her shoulder.

The former couple, who are both 52, were accompanied by their 15-year-old daughter, Seraphina, who wore a Yale sweatshirt.

The whole family then boarded Affleck’s matte black BMW and left with the actress.

Hours after the photos were taken, Lopez filed for divorce from the “Gone Girl” star, setting a separation date of April 26.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Lopez said the two did not sign a prenuptial agreement and asked the judge not to award spousal support.

Her filing for divorce on Tuesday was particularly significant, as it was the second anniversary of her Georgia wedding ceremony.

The “Gigli” co-stars rekindled their romance in 2021 after breaking off their first engagement in the early 2000s.

“They’ve finished all the unfinished business from over 20 years ago. They’ve seen things through to the end — and now they know for sure that they’re not ready to go on for the long haul,” sources previously told Page Six.

Insiders tell Us that Affleck, Lopez, and their five kids are “ready to move on” with their lives, as rumors of the A-list couple’s split have been swirling for months.

The “Good Will Hunting” star shares Violet (18), Seraphina and Samuel (12) with Garner, while Lopez has twins Max and Emme (16) with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

The former couple sparked split rumors in May after Affleck declined to attend the Met Gala with Lopez.

That same month, the actor moved out of his and the “Marry Me” star’s shared Beverly Hills home and stepped out without a wedding ring.

The estranged couple spent much of the summer apart, with Lopez traveling to Europe and the Hamptons while Affleck stayed in Los Angeles to be near their kids.

Though the two are yet to say anything about their separation, rumours of their breakup intensified after they spent their wedding anniversary separately in Las Vegas in July.

Despite the separation, the “Jenny on the Block” singer has continued to spend time with Affleck’s children.
