Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni feud casts doubt on ‘It Ends With Us’ sequel: ‘There’s no world’ where they’ll ‘work together again’

Does it end with them?

According to a Hollywood insider, the much-publicized feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni could put an end to any plans for “It Starts With Us,” the much-anticipated sequel to “It Ends With Us.”

“This is uncharted territory, and no one has any idea what the sequel will look like,” a source familiar with the situation told Variety on Tuesday.

“There’s probably no world where these two will work together again.”

Rumors have been leaking online for weeks now that the co-stars — who played the lead roles of Lily Bloom and Riley Kincaid, respectively — have tensions on and off the film’s set.

Earlier this month, multiple sources told Page Six that Baldoni — who owns the cinematic rights to “It Ends With Us” and directed the film — allegedly made Lively feel “uncomfortable” on multiple occasions.

For example, he was accused of making a “Gossip Girl” alum feel insecure about her postpartum body.

However, a source previously told TMZ that Lively, 37, was “fat-shamed” because Baldoni, 40, once asked an on-set trainer how much the actress weighed, as he has a history of back problems and wanted to avoid injuring himself in a scene in which he had to lift the actress.

The former “Jane the Virgin” star also said he was sidelined by Lively — who was a producer on the film — and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as they struggled for creative control.

According to a source, Lively reportedly made significant changes to the script and costumes, “often without consulting Justin or his team.”

An insider confirmed the claim to Variety on Tuesday, telling them that Baldoni wasn’t aware that Reynolds, 47, “wrote” the movie’s rooftop scene — as Lively told E! News during the premiere — but rather thought his co-star simply wrote it on her own.

However, Baldoni and his company, Wayfair Studios, also own the cinematic rights to “It Starts With Us” – they purchased them before Colleen Hoover’s novels, on which these films are based, became huge successes – so it’s possible he’ll be involved in the sequel in some form.

Representatives for Baldoni did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

However, sources previously told us that because tensions have run so high — evidenced by the fact that the two leads didn’t even pose together at the premiere — Baldoni won’t be returning for another movie.

The “Con Man” star also hinted at an exit from the franchise while speaking to “Entertainment Tonight” at the premiere of “It Ends With Us.”

When asked about directing the sequel at the time, he said, “I think there are better people for it.” “I think Blake Lively is ready to direct, I think.”

Page Six reached out to Lively’s rep for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
