Brandi Glanville felt Andy Cohen pressured her to ‘get together’ with ‘Southern Charm’ star Austen Kroll
Brandi Glanville alleged in a new interview that Andy Cohen made her feel like a “sex worker” whom he was “selling out” to other Bravolebrities and crew members — including Austen Kroll.
“I think Andy would want me to take control and conquer [sic] “She can’t marry people she can’t because they’re straight,” the 51-year-old “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum told the US Sun on Wednesday.
“So I’m like his little sex worker, and I’m not, I’m sorry. I’m a mother of two. I’ve been in two long-term relationships in my entire life. I’m not who he’s made me out to be in his mind.”
Glanville provided the outlet with copies of text messages and emails in which she discussed potential new lovers and past relationships with Cohen, 56.
“I have been dealing with very sexually explicit messages and emails for over a decade, and none of them were jokes,” the reality star, who starred on “RHOBH” from 2011 to 2015, claimed.
“I had to act like I had no problem with it, because if I said, ‘You’re disgusting.’ Do you think I’d ever be able to work again? Or, ‘Go away’? No, I’d be dead in the water.”
One of the alleged text exchanges reportedly took place shortly after BravoCon 2022, and Cohen allegedly wrote to Glanville at the time, “I hope you and my stage manager hooked up.”
She replied, “I think he wants you!!!!” to which the “Watch What Happens Live” host burst into laughter.
The next day, Cohen reportedly told Glanville, “I really wanted you and Austin to [sic] “Getting together. He had his eye on you,” he said, referring to Kroll.
The “Famously Single” star didn’t deny the comment at the time and instead admitted, “Umm he’s already DM’d me four times… Shep [Rose] also but austin [sic] His girl was with him. I’m definitely going to Charleston 🙂 And I don’t like white girls either. We need more male options!”
Page Six reached out to Kroll for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
The “Southern Charm” star, 37, spoke briefly about her conversation with Glanville at BravoCon 2022 on an episode of her “Pillows & Beer” podcast but did not go into too much detail.
Though the former “Housewife” seemed willing to get to know Kroll in the messages, she told The Sun that she now considers Cohen’s actions an “abuse of power.”
“Your boss should never talk to you like that,” Glanville said. “We’re not friends, we never hang out anywhere other than work, and we were at a work event.”
She added, “I felt a lot of pressure to please him, but this was too much. I’m not going to sleep with anyone. He literally thought I would. That’s the disgusting part.”
“He’s basically forcing me into prostitution. I mean, that’s what I felt. … He’s a different kind of boss. He’s a pimp. I’m not a prostitute. You’re not my pimp.”
However, a source exclusively told Page Six that Cohen “is not Brandi’s boss” at the time these messages occurred, as he is also “a genius” at Bravo and hasn’t served as a network executive for a decade.
Though he’s an executive producer for several “Housewives” shows, we’re told he doesn’t have “hire or fire” authority.
A source said Cohen — along with the other executive producers — has his say on who should be cast for the upcoming season, but ultimately the network decides who will star on the show.
“He’s not her boss,” the source reiterated.
Representatives for Cohen declined Page Six’s request for comment.
In addition to sharing the post-BravoCon messages, Glanville also cited at least two other instances when she and Cohen openly discussed sex.
After appearing on “WWHL” and telling the host that her ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian, was a “nine” in bed, she reportedly received an email from Cohen that read, “Get home safe. Eddie was a nine”?
Glanville told The Sun that she thought Cohen was asking about her ex-husband’s penis size in the email.
“This doesn’t sound like the joke he was allegedly doing. I don’t even think it’s funny. This is not just a weird joke but something to follow up on and ask more questions about,” he said.
“At that moment I knew I had to go through with it. I knew our relationship would remain like this.”
The former “Traitors” cast member also shared another text exchange in which Cohen allegedly asked what one of his ex-girlfriends — who was a mutual friend of Glanville’s — had said about him being in her bed.
“I don’t know about his sex life. I don’t want to know about his sex life,” she said.
Glanville asked Cohen, “Does he think he’s God? Does he think I’m going to run out and spread my legs because he told me to do so?”, concluding that she thought his messages were “pretty shameless”.
According to the outlet, the “Drinking and Tweeting” author wants to sue Cohen for sexual assault, a claim she first made in February.
Glanville called out the “Andy Cohen Diaries” author at the time to joke about having a threesome with him and “Below Deck” star Kate Chastain.
Cohen apologized for the video but said it was “in jest”, leading to a sharp response from Glanville’s lawyers.
However, to date no legal paperwork has been filed related to the incident, and in May Cohen was cleared of any wrongdoing following a third-party investigation into his alleged misconduct.
A source told Page Six that Cohen’s phone was thoroughly examined during the investigation and nothing incriminating was found.
However, Cohen admitted in June that he was “always waiting for that thing” that would cause his contract to be voided.
