Brittany Cartwright hints at divorce from Jax Taylor before officially filing for divorce
Brittany Cartwright hinted at a divorce from Jax Taylor before officially calling off their marriage on Tuesday.
Two days prior to the filing, Cartwright uploaded sizzling photos of herself in a green cut-out revenge dress.
“Out with the old, in with the new.”, she captioned the photos on Sunday.
The TV personality wore a bodycon midi dress with nude sandals while posing in the backyard.
The following day, the 35-year-old “Valley” star shared a cryptic quote about love and relationships on her Instagram Story.
The post read, “Today I read something that said ‘a person who thinks too much also loves too much’ and that made me feel that way.”
Last week, Cartwright even jokingly named Taylor’s bar, Jax Studio City, after himself while undergoing mental health treatment.
In photos shared by the couple’s “Valley” co-star Nia Sanchez, Cartwright was seen holding a T-shirt that read “Brits Studio City,” while another photo saw her posing in front of an LED bar sign with her name on it.
“Britts Bar 😉🥂 Just for fun! Hah. Had a fun night setting up a little bar makeover for our girl @brittany at @jaxstudiocity,” Sanchez captioned the carousel. “We always say #BrittsBar … so why not make it a reality?! Hehe.”
On Tuesday, Page Six confirmed that Cartwright had filed for divorce from Taylor, 45, after five years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
They had given the date of their separation as January 24, which was a month before they announced their separation.
The Bravolebrity is also seeking legal and physical custody of their 3-year-old son, Cruz, which would give Taylor visitation rights.
During the Season 1 finale of the ex-lovers’ reality show, Cartwright said Taylor’s alcohol problem caused their breakup, claiming he would stay out all night and come home “as evil as a horrible snake.”
Last month, Taylor checked herself into a treatment centre after admitting to suffering from mental health and anger issues.
“Jax has always been open about his mental health struggles, especially on his podcast over the last few months. He has decided to seek treatment in a hospital,” his rep previously told Page Six. “This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family.”
