Exclusive | Gina Kirschenheiter reevaluates Heather Dubrow friendship after ‘RHOC’ controversy, says support ‘wasn’t reciprocated’
Gina Kirschenheiter is reevaluating her friendship with Heather Dubrow as “The Real Housewives of Orange County” Season 18 continues to air.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-T,” Kirschenheiter explained that watching her feud with Dubrow, 55, made her realize there hasn’t been much progress between them since filming ended.
“Honestly, it’s starting to bother me now, because I’m like, ‘Wow, I couldn’t have gotten him back any better,'” the Bravolebrity, 40, says of her “paparazzi-gate” drama with Dubrow while promoting her back-to-school partnership with Clorox.
In Season 17, the former soap actress was accused of calling paparazzi on herself and husband Dr. Terry Dubrow at Disneyland in response to speculation circulating on the Internet that the couple was facing marital discord in autumn 2022 due to alleged infidelity.
While Dubrow denied the hoax explanation, Heather vehemently denied that she’d ever posed for the photo.
This season, new singer Katie Ginella claimed she had proof that Heather had actually worked with a photographer to take pictures during her theme park date with Terry.
Kirschenheiter stressed that he had urged Ginella not to reveal the incident on camera, but Ginella did so anyway.
When Kirschenheiter learned that “Receipt” had gone into production, he alerted Heather – who did not appreciate this, but instead rebuked Kirschenheiter for seemingly not taking sufficient steps to prevent it from surfacing.
“I communicated with Katie directly that I thought none of it was valid, the stuff she was bringing up against Heather,” the real estate agent told “Virtual Reali-T.”
“And you see Katie has already admitted that at the very beginning I told her not to do it… I’m honestly hurt by both of them.”
Kirschenheiter said she is “the only one” of the “RHOC” women who has repeatedly confirmed Heather’s claim that she never spent a moment with the paps.
“I didn’t do this to Heather. Katie did this to Heather. In fact, I tried to stop Katie from doing it,” she reiterates.
“Honestly, for the last year, I’m the only person who believes in him — who consistently believes in him and yet I’m the one who did something wrong.”

Currently, Kirschenheiter says his communication with Heather is “pretty good” — but he thinks it can be a little one-sided.
“I think myself, too, that whenever I think she’s going to be upset about something — whether it’s something I did or something someone else did — I’m concerned about her feelings, I pick up the phone and call her,” she says, explaining that such worry “doesn’t happen reactively.”
Kirschenheiter says she rarely gets a call or text from Heather when she hears “things … that bother her.”
“Watching last week’s episode and this week’s episode and seeing how it all played out, I’m upset about it.”
Kirschenheiter doesn’t know if she wants to clarify things now or wait until the “Orange County” reunion taping.
“This is so hard, man. I think the Clorox wipes should be brought out!” she jokes, admitting her fondness for the brand’s disinfecting wipes and the product’s ability to wipe away dirt.
“It’s tough. It’s also interesting because we have [the] The reunion is coming up. We still have to have all these conversations, so it’s like, ‘Do I have to have these conversations now? Are we going to have these conversations there?'”
Kirschenheiter told “Virtual Reali-T” that she is hoping for a resolution because she “really cares about Heather.”
“I like to have constructive conversations, so hopefully we’ll be able to do that,” she says. “But Heather is very sensitive, so I think I work very much around that sensitivity. At a certain point, it becomes too much.”
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
