Former ‘Ellen’ actress Sophia Grace, 21, is pregnant with her second child
Sophia Grace Brownlee is pregnant with her second child.
Brownlee, who rose to fame in 2011 when she appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” with her cousin Rosie McClelland, made the announcement in a video uploaded to YouTube on Sunday.
“I’m expecting another baby! So, yeah, I’m so excited to do this video. I’ve been hiding it for so long,” she began.
Brownlee, 21, revealed she was “about 20 weeks” pregnant when she made the video and had already seen a midwife and had her 12-week scan.
“Everything has been great so far, which is really great. It’s so exciting! I’m actually finding out the gender today. … I can’t even tell you guys how excited I am,” she added.
Brownlee also included a clip of herself getting an early scan, as she is having “health concerns” after undergoing a C-section to give birth to her first child.
“Luckily my cervix is fine and everything is looking the way it should, which is good,” she told her followers.
Brownlee also shared a photo of the ultrasound and showed off her baby bump while wearing a black dress.
The former child star said her family is “very supportive” and “extremely excited” about their upcoming addition.
Her cousin McClelland, 17, also expressed her support by posting a photo from the YouTube video on her Instagram Story, writing, “The secret is finally out, so excited!”
Brownlee is already mom to one-year-old son River, whom she is looking forward to giving a younger sibling.
“They’re really close in age. They can grow up together, and I think that’s really cute. I’ve always wanted a sibling that was really close in age, and I didn’t have that, so I want to do that for River,” she explained.
Brownlee hasn’t shared the identity of the child’s father, but she did confirm in a previous YouTube video that she is “still with River’s dad.”
“We’ve been together since I was 16,” she said in a video shared earlier this month. “Of course he’s in River’s life. I don’t show him on camera because he’s a little camera-shy and some people don’t want to be on camera all the time.”
Brownlee admitted she was “very shocked” when she found out during her first pregnancy at the age of 19.
“Obviously, having a baby at 19 is pretty young,” she told E! News in October 2022. “Usually most people think, ‘You should have kids when you’re 30 and you’re married and you’re living in your own home.'”
