Fortnite
The latest season of Fortnite, Chapter 5 Season 1, has been great so far and has been praised by the community. It’s safe to say it’s been a season of collaborations, and there have been a lot of them. And now, it’s all set to get another one.
The season introduced a brand new island, three new specular co-op-based game modes, a selection of vehicles, and an expanded arsenal of weapons. In addition to the three crossovers already introduced in the game, Lego Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing, there are several others that Epic Games is rumored to introduce in the coming months. However, this time the developers have confirmed a collaboration with the famous Ninja Turtles series.
Fortnite will collaborate with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Epic Games recently released the new Cowabunga event in Fortnite. With this, it brings back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with new content like reward passes, cosmetics, and skins for popular characters. These include shredder and splinter.
Notably, this isn’t the first time Fortnite has collaborated with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In April 2023, Epic Games collaborated with the franchise. The collab brought the four brothers with April O’Neil to Fortnite’s in-game shop. Players also received sprays, emotes, back bling, and other additional cosmetics to help customize their experience.

However, at the time, players could only purchase skins using V-Bucks. This can be done either individually or as a bundle. Earlier this year, developers teased the introduction of Splinter in early 2024. And now Epic Games has announced Fortnite’s latest crossover with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Epic Games announced the new event via a blog post. The blog highlights the Cowabunga event, which will begin on February 9 and run throughout the month before ending on February 27. During the event, players will have the opportunity to complete the Cowabunga Quest and earn OZ, a currency used to unlock reward tiers on the limited-time Battle Pass.
Fortnite x TMNT Skins and Rewards
To play the event, players will need to go to the Cowabunga tab in the lobby. Here they can see their progress as well as the quests that need to be completed. These quests usually involve activities such as traveling through the sewers or purchasing one of the Turtles’ weapons from a vending machine.
Players wanting a little extra can also take advantage of the Premium Rewards Track, available for 1,000 V-Bucks. The Premium Rewards track comes with the highly promoted Shredder skin. Apart from this, new discoveries will be added every three days.
The biggest attraction of the event is the Shredder cosmetic skin. The skin can be unlocked by purchasing the Premium Rewards Track, while it also unlocks LEGO minifigs. The crossover has also reintroduced the four Turtles and April O’Neil skins to the Fortnite shop.
Here are all the rewards available in the Fortnite X Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event, along with how to unlock them:
- Super Shredder – Premium Cowabunga Reward for reaching the end of the track
- Crang Back Bling – By completing at least 5 quests in all six Cowabunga Quest Groups
- Splinter Skin – Can be purchased from the Fortnite Shop
- Turtle Blimp Glider, Kuro Kabuto Bass, Oz Wrap, TMNT Pizza Back Bling – FREE with Cowabunga Rewards Track
Additionally, the recent Epic Games and Disney partnership is rumored to bring Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to Fortnite as well.
