Harvey Weinstein pleads not guilty in new New York sex crimes case
Harvey Weinstein pleaded not guilty to a new sex crime charge in a Manhattan court on Wednesday afternoon.
The fallen movie mogul was charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual act while he awaits a retrial of his landmark 2020 #MeToo case.
But details of the new charges were not immediately available.
Weinstein, 72, was flown to Manhattan Supreme Court from Bellevue Hospital, where he was recovering from emergency heart surgery.
He was held at Rikers Island jail before he was on the verge of death due to a health scare.
