Jason Duggar engaged to girlfriend Maddie 3 months after announcing dating

Congratulations to Jason Duggar, who will be the next member of the Duggar family to tie the knot.

Jason, 24, and his girlfriend Maddie, who has already changed her name on Instagram to Maddie Grace Duggar, announced their engagement via Instagram on Friday.

“On August 24th, Jace asked me to marry him, and I couldn’t be more excited!!” Maddie captioned the post, about a week after she accepted Jace’s proposal.

“Thank you @kaylajohnsonphoto_ for capturing this special moment so beautifully.”

Jason added in the comments section, “She said yes!!❤️💍”

The post revealed a romantic engagement photo of the couple, with a stand of roses in the shape of a heart with the words “Will you marry me?” written in the middle.

Jason and Maddie were surrounded by candles while embracing each other on the beach.

The engagement comes three months after the couple announced their relationship online when they shared a few photos of themselves holding hands while wearing white outfits on the beach.

Maddie was also the “Counting On” alum’s partner at her sister Jenna’s wedding to Stephen Wiseman earlier this month.

The 34-year-old actress married Wissman on Aug. 15 in front of 500 guests at The Grand at Willow Springs in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Though the couple has kept their relationship mostly private, their photographer, Kayla Johnson, spoke about the couple’s impending wedding, saying that they have “the sweetest relationship [she’s] ever seen.”

“Jess is the most intentional, kindest person, and Maddie matches that energy perfectly, she is truly the most beautiful ball of light in any room. I can’t imagine a more adorable couple, and I can’t wait to see them officially become one!!” she wrote on Instagram.

“What a joy it is to see God work something beautiful between two people,” he concluded.
