Jax Taylor ‘experiencing mixed emotions’ about Brittany Cartwright’s divorce filing: report

Jax Taylor is reportedly “feeling mixed emotions” about Brittany Cartwright’s divorce filing.

,[He] “He knows it’s ultimately the right decision, but he’s sad that things ended this way,” an insider told People on Tuesday. “It’s been an emotional month for him and he’s trying to stay strong for his son.”

The source also admitted that Cartwright felt filing to end her marriage was something she “had to do for the best interest of herself and her son.”

“A lot has happened over the last few months that she cannot ignore,” she said. “This decision was not made lightly, but she is adamant it was the right decision.”

Page Six did not receive an immediate response from representatives for Cartwright or Taylor regarding this report.

Cartwright, 35, filed for divorce on Tuesday, just five months after announcing that she and Taylor, 45, were “taking some time apart” to reevaluate their relationship.

She requested primary custody of their 3-year-old son, Cruz, and asked that both parties be barred from receiving spousal support.

Cartwright has consistently said she wants to give Cruise the best environment possible, since she moved out of her and Taylor’s shared Los Angeles home in February.

“I’m taking things one day at a time,” she said when announcing their split on their shared podcast, “When Reality Hits with Jax & Brittany,” in February.

“I don’t know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on being the best mom I can be to Cruz.”

In March, the “Valley” star told TMZ that she feels like Taylor “isn’t really trying” and that’s why she needs to take a stand for herself and Cruz.

“I asked him for some time to do some work, but it did not yield any results,” he said.

“When you fight with somebody for so long, you can only tolerate so much, and you know, I deserve better than this, Cruz deserves better than this.”

Additionally, in April, she discussed how important Cruise’s well-being was to her after trolls expressed concern for him on social media.

Taylor has not commented publicly on the divorce filing.

He has been undergoing treatment at a mental health centre since the end of July.

When news broke about her rehab stint, she shared a photo with Cruz on her Instagram Story and revealed that he was the reason she sought help.

“Trying to be better for you buddy daddy loves you so much,” he captioned the photo.
