Jennifer Lopez posts first selfie since filing for divorce
Jennifer Lopez is feeling uncomfortable with herself after her divorce from Ben Affleck.
The “Let’s Get Loud” hitmaker shared a glamorous selfie on her Instagram Story on Friday — her first post since filing for divorce from her ex-boyfriend in Georgia earlier this week — on their second wedding anniversary.
In the photo, which was reposted from a fan account, Lopez, 55, looked stunning with thick curls and soft glam makeup. She also wore a pink robe for her hair-and-makeup session.
Notably, there was a Christmas tree with presents in the background of the photo, indicating that the photo was taken at least a few months ago during the holiday season.
However, it appears the selfie actually originates from a December 2020 glam appointment with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton.
At the time, the celebrity stylist posted a selfie of J.Lo on her profile, rocking the same look, which she described as “Deluxe Glam Barbie.”
Though Lopez has returned to social media since filing for divorce on Tuesday, she has not commented publicly on the dissolution of her marriage.
However, the “Marry Me” actress cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split from Affleck.
An insider told Page Six that she filed the lawsuit in Georgia on their second wedding anniversary — which took place just weeks after their July 2022 Las Vegas elopement — to stand up for herself.
According to another Page Six source, the singer and actress tried to save their marriage before it fell apart, but Affleck, 52, had no interest in doing so.
,[Lopez] “I truly believed this was the greatest love story ever and that she was finally getting her chance to hear the fairytale,” a person close to the former couple told Us on Saturday.
“He didn’t really stop to think about who the real man was [in] Fairy tale.”
The source added: “There’s a darkness in Ben that no other person can fix. [His actress ex-wife] Jen Garner couldn’t fix that, all the success in the world couldn’t fix that.”
In May, Page Six learned that the “Argo” star was ready to end his marriage to Lopez and seek a “divorce on the grounds of temporary insanity” if possible.
“He feels like the last two years were just a fever dream, and now he’s come to his senses and understands that it wouldn’t work any other way,” the source explained at the time.
The “Jenny From the Block” hitmaker has made April 26 the official date of their separation.
She did not request any spousal support and asked the judge to forbid Affleck from doing so.
The couple is currently attempting to sell their massive mansion in Beverly Hills, California, which they listed for $68 million in July after originally attempting to sell it off the market.
