Joey Lawrence’s estranged wife shared a cryptic message about “loss” and “freedom” ahead of filing for divorce from the “Blossom” alum.

“Not everything you lose is loss. Some things are freedom,” was the quote posted on Samantha Cope’s Instagram in June, the same month she noted as the date of the now former couple’s separation in court documents obtained by Page Six.

“Some things are second chances. Some things are miracles in disguise. Some things are long-needed separations, clarity brought to blurry eyes,” the excerpt continues.

Cope was accompanied in the rest of the carousel photos by her and Lawrence’s one-year-old daughter, Dylan Rose.

Cope, 37, filed for divorce from Lawrence, 48, on Wednesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation.

The “Insecure” actress waived all rights to spousal support but requested sole physical custody of their daughter and that Lawrence be granted visitation only at Cope’s discretion.

In his filing, Kopp wrote that he is opposed to the former child star keeping his daughter with him long-term until she is old enough to give consent.

“When Dylan is 3 or older, Joe will have the option of taking her to his home for 2 nights a day provided he is not working and can facilitate her visitation. He will not take her for long, extended periods of time until she is old enough to ask for visitation times and all parties are agreeable and able to facilitate that,” the court documents read.

“She must be available full-time while she is a minor. She must not be in the presence of any non-family members while she is with Joe, unless otherwise agreed to by Samantha.”

The two met while filming the Lifetime movie “My Husband’s Secret Brother.” They got engaged in August 2021.

“Let the cats out of the bag,” Lawrence told her Instagram followers at the time. “We are so excited to see what the future holds for us and knowing we will grow old and very wrinkly together is the ultimate blessing.”

Lawrence admitted to People magazine in December 2023 that their wedding was “very unexpected” as he doesn’t usually date his co-stars.

“That was very unusual for me,” he said. “I’ve never had a serious relationship with anyone I’ve worked with, ever.”
