Joie Chavis welcomes third child, her first with NFL star Trevon Diggs

Joie Chavis’ third child has arrived.

The dancer revealed on her Instagram Story on Monday that she has given birth to a third child, her first with NFL star Trevon Diggs.

Chavis shared a video compilation on FaceTime of her friends and loved ones happily reacting to the newborn’s arrival.

They have not yet shared any information about the baby’s date of birth or name.

The 35-year-old choreographer broke the news of her pregnancy to her Instagram followers in March by showing off photos of her belly while wearing a bikini.

Although Chavis did not reveal the identity of her partner in the social media upload, she has been dating Diggs, 25, since 2022.

The comments section was filled with congratulatory messages for Chavis and the Dallas Cowboys player.

Chavis revealed the sex of her baby later that month with photos of a pink cake and matching dress.

The little one is Diggs’ first daughter, though, as he has two sons, Aiden and Chosen, from previous relationships, and Chavis became a mother in April 2011 when her daughter Shai (who is now 13) was born.

She lives with her ex-husband Bow Wow as a teenager.

Seven years later, Chavis and Future welcomed son Hendrix, who is now 5 years old.

In March, she hit back at negative comments about her third pregnancy, writing that she “wouldn’t trade my life” with online trolls.

“At least I can take care of my own children,” she wrote at the time. “Why are you all so quick to judge how many mothers and how many children your parents have? Oh well! Give it to someone else and leave me alone.”

Chavis previously defended his family in a 2020 Q&A session.

She denied being a “gold digger” or “having babies to secure her purse”, and clarified that she had “always been working” since the age of 15.

“I don’t know what it’s like to do nothing,” Chavis said. “I think that’s the biggest misconception, and it doesn’t bother me at all.”
