Julia Fox wore underwear as an accessory to two red carpet premieres in a row
Julia Fox is nothing if not consistent.
On Tuesday, the 34-year-old “Uncut Gems” actress spent a whirlwind night in New York City at the premiere of Adam Sandler’s new Netflix special, “Love You,” and Bill Skarsgard and FKA Twigs’ “The Crow,” wearing yet another risqué outfit that showed off her lingerie — though she kept pretty covered this time.
Walking the red carpet in a velvet top and oversized black blazer, it was her skirt that really made a statement; the otherwise simple pencil design featured a pair of pink panties sewn on the outside.
The satin, lace-trimmed underwear coordinated with the dark outfit and matched Fox’s textured pink bag, which she carried with her.
Tall black boots completed her look, and the “OMG Fashun” host made sure her glamour was just as dramatic, covering her cheeks with pink blush and wearing dark black eye makeup.
Fans are loving the look so much, they’re quoting the lyrics “I’m So Julia” from Charli XCX’s song “360,” which is inspired by the star herself, as well as the singer’s latest single “Guess” with Billie Eilish.
One person commented on Instagram, “Julia actually said no need to guess the colour of my underwear 😭”, while another wrote “Pretty in Pink”, referencing the latter’s lyrics.
Though Fox went back to brown at the beginning of the summer, she has since gone back to platinum and keeps her shoulder-length blonde hair open and parted in the middle.
Known for her bold and often body-revealing fashion choices, Fox is known for making underwear the center of her outfits.
Last week, she strolled through the streets of New York City wearing a skirt made from several pairs of boxer shorts, and once attended a Knicks basketball game without pants altogether, showing off tiny white briefs that matched her tank top.
Fox also showed off her black panties earlier this year, stepping out in a cutout wedding dress that completely revealed her underwear.
Though the star clearly has a unique aesthetic, she manages to switch things up from time to time. On Monday, the “Down the Drain” author went for a casual look in baggy black pants and a hood while hanging out with her friend, FKA Twigs.
The singer, who plays Shelly in “The Crow,” wore a corset with sheer bottoms, and finished off the look with a handbag made of hair — also a fashion choice Fox has embraced in the past.
Meanwhile, Sandler wore red Adidas track pants and a yellow printed polo to his premiere. Watch this space to see if Fox takes inspiration from her former co-star in the future.
