Kyle Richards admits he and Mauricio Umansky ‘need help’: I’m afraid we ‘won’t be together’
Kyle Richards is addressing her and Mauricio Umansky’s marital problems.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star revealed during Wednesday’s episode that she and her estranged husband were undergoing therapy in hopes of identifying the root of their problems.
Richards explained to her co-star Dorit Kemsley that a big issue between her and the real estate agent is that they rarely fight, claiming it has had a detrimental effect on their communication.
“It often happens that something will upset one of us and it seems like we would rather be peaceful and not compromise,” he said.
“I’m the one who will say ‘this bothers me’ and I have that fiery side where it wants to be peaceful all the time, but that’s not always a good thing.”
Richards, 55, added that she gets frustrated with Umansky, 53, when he often goes out on business and is unable to attend important family events.
“I feel like he thinks ‘give Kyle some time and she’ll be fine and she’ll be fine’ but I’m telling him… it’s much more than that,” she continued. “we need help.”
The Bravo star explained that the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ alum agreed to be more present, but continued to focus his energy on his work, which he called ‘his baby.’
“So I feel like, if we have these issues, why can’t you give [me] That energy? He continued.
Overall, Richards reported that despite always supporting Umansky in his efforts, he did not feel that he was given any priority.
“I’ve supported her in everything since day one when she had nothing,” the Bravo celebrity said in her confessional.
“When I told them we were in trouble and I needed you to work with me on this, I had to make them feel like I was a priority and we were a priority.”

He further added, “If there is no effort or no effort is made between us, we will not be together.” “We’ll never escape this.”
In July 2023, Page Six confirmed that the couple had decided to separate after 27 years of marriage.
At the time, he stressed that it had been a “challenging” year for him and denied “any wrongdoing on anyone’s part.”
However, the couple is working to remain married as Richards admitted that she can’t imagine living life without Umansky.
“I’ve been married almost my entire adult life,” she said on the “Jeff Lewis Live” show last month. “I don’t even know what life is without being with Mauricio. This is difficult. it’s painful. it’s scary.”
The “Halloween” actress further said that her “whole identity lies in being a wife and a mother” to daughters Farrah Brittany, 34, Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15.
“I have four daughters, and they’re my best friends, but he’s also my friend, and I love him very much, and that’s what’s hard,” she added.
Richards said she still lives under the same roof with her estranged husband, but they share separate rooms.
“If you didn’t know us, you would think everything was normal… I’m making dinner, we’re together,” she said.
The reality stars maintain an amicable co-parenting relationship and were recently spotted stepping out as a family for Christmas.
