Lauren Sanchez opens up about quiet home life with fiancé Jeff Bezos: ‘My favorite time’

Lauren Sanchez’s life behind closed doors appears to be very quiet, while she is often seen cruising around on luxury yachts with her future husband, Jeff Bezos.

And when the two find time at home, Sanchez said they often binge-watch certain shows.

“My favorite time is when the house is quiet and quiet and Jeff and I decide what show we’re going to watch that night,” the 54-year-old Emmy-winning former news anchor tells PEOPLE.

Last year, the two announced they were leaving Seattle, where Bezos built his empire, and moving to Miami to be closer to their loved ones.

Despite all the buzz, Sanchez admits the two are indecisive about what to watch.

“It takes a while to decide,” he told the outlet. “You can imagine our tastes are a little different. But I love our TV time, we just have the best time.”

“We recently saw Baby Reindeer, which of course everybody saw. Fallout was great too. We also just finished Presumed Innocent, which was incredible,” he added. “Oh, and we loved Severance.”

The news comes after Sanchez recently returned to the US after a romantic trip to Italy with her future husband.

The couple, who got engaged last year, were photographed sharing a sweet kiss in front of the Trevi Fountain in Rome and then throwing coins into the fountain.

Later, the loved-up couple even enjoyed a sit-down meeting with Pope Francis.

Sánchez praised the honor, saying he was “deeply impressed” by the pope’s “intelligence, warmth and humor.”

Three days earlier, he spent time on Bezos’ $485 million superyacht in Sardinia with a number of top celebrities, including Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti.

The star-studded crowd boarded a small boat belonging to the Amazon founder and came ashore for lunch at a high-end seaside resort before heading back aboard the massive ship – the Koru.

Bezos and Sanchez have spent much of their summer traveling around Europe aboard the Koru.

She kicked off her overseas tour in Greece with Kim Kardashian before traveling across the Mediterranean to Italy.

The billionaire also owns a smaller $75 million yacht called the Abeona.
