Meg Ryan made a rare public appearance as she enjoyed a shopping date with her 20-year-old daughter Daisy

Meg Ryan was spotted shopping with her 20-year-old daughter Daisy in New York City on Wednesday.

The “You’ve Got Mail” star and her daughter were spotted browsing books at McNally Jackson Bookstore in SoHo before heading to Tribeca for some clothes shopping.

The pair looked content as they strolled around the city together in comfortable outfits.

Ryan, 62, looked extremely stylish in a plain white long-sleeved top and black cargo pants. She completed her casual look with black sneakers and a matching crossbody bag.

Meanwhile, Daisy wore a butterfly print button-up top which she paired with blue jeans and a black belt. She wore white shoes and also wore a few bracelets.

Ryan adopted Daisy from China in 2006 when she was about 2 years old.

“Our relationship is why I believe in magic. We were destined,” the actress said of her relationship with Daisy in a December 2023 conversation with Glamour.

The “When Harry Met Sally” star also has a 32-year-old son, Jack, with her ex-husband, actor Dennis Quaid.

She and Quaid, 70, were married for a decade before separating in 2001.

“My kids have always been so much fun. They’re the best companions,” she said in her interview with Glamour. “They’re so vibrant in their curiosity and interest in the world.”

Ryan is clearly a proud mom as she called Daisy and Jack “the two greatest kids” while speaking to People in October 2023.

Jack has followed in his parents’ footsteps as an actor, appearing in 2012’s “The Hunger Games” and 2023’s “Oppenheimer.” He also plays vigilante Hughie Campbell in the Prime Video series “The Boys.”

It is not clear if Daisy wants to pursue acting or not. She is currently a graduate student.

This is the first mother-daughter meeting since Ryan’s rare red carpet appearance at the Sarajevo Film Festival in Europe last week.

He was given the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award for his contribution to the film industry.

“I’m so happy to be here and to thank you face-to-face for your example during the siege,” he said in his acceptance speech, which he also shared on Instagram.

Ryan was referring to the siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War. The festival was founded in 1995, during the war.

“I mean, you’ve proven that art and culture are resistance. You’re proof that diversity is strength. Art is the thing that makes you feel less alone,” he added.
