Prince Harry returns to LA for Meghan Markle reunion after brief meeting with cancer-stricken King Charles

Prince Harry was seen visiting Meghan Markle’s home on Thursday after traveling alone to meet her cancer-stricken father, King Charles, according to photos obtained by The Post.

The Duke of Sussex, who traveled without Markle, 42, was seen entering London’s Heathrow Airport wearing blue jeans, a basic white T-shirt and a black jacket.

The 39-year-old royal family member arrived in Britain around 2pm local time and met Her Majesty, 75, for just 45 minutes before returning to the London hotel where he was reportedly staying.

According to former royal butler Grant Harrold, Markle’s decision not to tag along with her husband was twofold: She felt it was something she needed to do alone and she was able to be with her two children.

“Meghan decided it was best to stay home with the kids, and maybe she feels it’s something Harry has to do alone,” Harrold told The Post. “This is his father. She knows about the close relationship and may have encouraged him to come.”

The former staffer noted that Markle and children, Archie and Lilibet, “may arrive at a later date.”

“I’m sure at some point they’ll bring the grandchildren here, that might be part of the discussion – an opportunity for them to come as a family,” Herold said.

It was also reported that Prince Harry never saw his brother Prince William during his trip.

A source told The Post that the Prince of Wales, 41, has “no plans” to meet Harry as he also returns to work on Wednesday.

William had to step down from his royal duties last week after it was announced that his father had been diagnosed with unspecified cancer.

The prince is also caring for his wife, Kate Middleton, who is recovering from stomach surgery.

Multiple sources tell Page Six that Charles’ diagnosis could force the estranged brothers into a temporary truce.

Despite attending their father’s coronation in May 2023, neither Harry nor William have reportedly spoken to each other in over a year.

It was also reported that Charles hoped to reconcile with his wayward son during his time in England.

,[Charles] “She wants to reconcile with Harry,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told “Entertainment Tonight” on Tuesday.

“His father personally called him to inform him of his cancer diagnosis, [and] Harry jumped on an overnight flight from Los Angeles, Nicole said. “The King must have been extremely relieved and consoled by the fact that Harry flew.”

He further said that the meeting was “probably very difficult for both of them,” emphasizing that the Emperor had always kept the door open for a possible reunion between the two.

Ahead of Harry’s arrival, the monarch began treatment for his cancer on Monday and is recovering at Clarence House.

Buckingham Palace released a statement on 5 February detailing the King’s illness, revealing that he was not suffering from prostate cancer.

“During the king’s recent hospital procedure for a benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted,” the palace said in a statement. “Subsequent clinical trials have identified a form of cancer.”

“Her Majesty has today begun a program of routine treatment, during which doctors have advised her to suspend public-facing duties.”

“Throughout this period, Her Majesty will continue to conduct state business and official paperwork as usual,” he said.

Last month, Charles underwent a separate procedure for his enlarged prostate, and was diagnosed with the disease.
