Real Madrid vs Real Betis: Where to watch La Liga live online, TV, prediction and odds
Real Madrid host Real Betis in La Liga on Sunday, with Kylian Mbappe looking for his first goal in Spanish football. The French superstar has already scored once for Los Blancos in the UEFA Super Cup, but is yet to get his first goal in the Spanish topflight, as Carlo Ancelotti’s men have struggled to get going. Their Andalusian visitors are also struggling to get going at the moment, so this could be the moment Mbappe starts to break through against Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
Real raised hopes with a 2-0 win over Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup, in which Mbappe scored, but draws away from home against Mallorca and Las Palmas and a last-minute win over Valladolid have contributed to a disappointing start for the Spanish and European champions. Los Merengues are already losing ground at the top of La Liga despite extending their unbeaten league run to 35 games, so Mbappe and his teammates will be expected and needed to adjust here.
However, Betis are a difficult opponent for Real, and especially recently have drawn in each of their last three meetings. Los Beticos have struggled in the UEFA Conference League playoffs, so a pair of draws with a game in hand against Getafe isn’t too surprising. A comfortable two-legged win over Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih put Betis into the league stage, their fourth consecutive appearance in that stage of the continental competition, but now it’s time to secure maximum points in La Liga, something they haven’t done at the Santiago Bernabeu since 2019.

The story so far
Real are looking to get back to winning ways, having drawn with Mallorca and Las Palmas since winning the UEFA Super Cup and producing a last-minute save against Valladolid. Betis are looking for a first win, but have played a match less, so two draws in two games won’t be too worrying right now – especially if they can avoid defeat here.
Team News
Real: Jude Bellingham is out while David Alaba is trying to return and Eduardo Camavinga is still unavailable. Jesus Vallejo is doubtful after missing the last few games and Ancelotti might bring back Dani Carvajal, Arda Guller and Rodrigo.
Probable Real XI: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Mendy; Valverde, Choumeni; Rodrigo, Guller, Vinicius; Mbappe.
Betis: Noble Mendy, Cedric Bakambu and Isco are expected to miss out, although Marc Bartra still has a chance to make it. Chimy Avila should return in time after illness, while Nabil Fekir has left and will be replaced by Gio Lo Celso.
Probable Betis XI: Silva; Sabally, Llorente, Nathan, Perroud; Carvalho, Roca; Fornals, Ruibal, Azalzouli; Chimy.
Prediction
Real should have enough firepower to overcome Betis, but it won’t be easy, as the defending champions have shown in most of the La Liga games so far. If Mbappe continues to struggle, we could even see Ancelotti decide to take him out early to see if that changes the attacking fortunes. choose: Real 1, Betis 0.
