Real Madrid vs Valladolid prediction, picks, odds, live stream: How to watch La Liga online
Real Madrid will look to bounce back from a 1-1 draw against RCD Mallorca on the opening day of La Liga when Real Valladolid visit the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday. Kylian Mbappe is set to make his full home debut in front of supporters of Los Blancos, who have so far only featured in the UEFA Super Cup in Warsaw and a draw on the road at Mallorca. Carlo Ancelotti won’t be too worried by Real’s slow start, but the Italian tactician knows his side can’t afford to lose too many points with Barcelona starting with a win.
Valladolid got off to a winning start with a 1-0 win over RCD Espanyol, so they are fourth in the early season standings. A lot will change in the coming games though, with only four sides getting off to a winning start in his tenure and Paulo Pezzolano’s men being one of those teams. A test run featuring Barca, Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Mallorca before the end of September will be crucial though.

last time out
A first win of the 2024-25 La Liga season will be a must for Los Blancos this weekend, having drawn with Mallorca last time out. A win over Atalanta, which included Mbappe’s first goal, has already secured silverware, but Ancelotti’s men got a taste of reality when Vedat Muriqi cancelled out Rodrigo’s goal on the island. A solitary goal from Raul Moro was enough to give Valladolid a win over Espanyol, starting with three points.

Real: David Alaba is out but is expected to be back after the October international break, with the Austria international close to returning to training. Eduardo Camavinga is likely to be out until the end of September after suffering an injury before the Super Cup win. His absence will be difficult, as he usually replaces Ferland Mendy at left back, who is suspended after receiving a red card in Mallorca. The France international is not expected back before Las Palmas next week.
