‘Sopranos’ star slammed by fans for posting photos of young Kamala Harris on Instagram: ‘You’re losing your mind’
He probably wishes he had taken the oath of omerta.
Fans of “Sopranos” star Michael Imperioli slammed him Sunday for posting a photo of a younger-looking, short-haired Kamala Harris on Instagram with the caption, “I would vote for her based on this picture alone.”
“Dude you’re losing your mind,” one of Imperioli’s 364,000 followers wrote.
“This is so embarrassing dude,” scolded another, while a third asked: “Are you okay?”
One commentator pointed out that a presidential candidate’s “looks have nothing to do with political capital.”
Some also speculated that the 58-year-old Upper West Side actor, who tagged @kamalahq in the caption of the photo — in which Harris appeared in red lipstick and a popped collar — was getting paid by Harris’ campaign.
“This is what it feels like when your acting career is over and you need the money,” one joked.
“Imperioli has been bought by corrupt entities who promise him roles in TV and movies… If he doesn’t do what they want, he will be unemployed… Mikey, if you need help, sign us up,” another said.
By Monday, outspoken Democrats who have donated to the Harris campaign had deleted the comments and disabled users’ ability to comment.
But on Thursday, he did it again — posting another photo of the younger Harris, wearing red lipstick and with her arms crossed.
He captioned the photo: “Save democracy. Vote for Kamala. Links in bio to register to vote and donate to the campaign,” and again tagged Harris’ headquarters.
Below it, he wrote a sarcastic message saying, “Actors should stick to acting and not comment on politics or anything.”
His third comment was, “Trump can only win by cheating. He’s far behind and he knows it.”
Fans couldn’t keep quiet and made references to his character Christopher in the HBO series, who was murdered by Tony Soprano.
“Watch out Chrissy,” one warned. “No wonder Tony didn’t save you,” another said.
