On September 25, 2020, Joel Embiid made a big announcement on the birth of his first child, Arthur Elijah de Paula Embiid. “We are so blessed and fortunate to welcome our little boy into this family. First of 11 or more? I am trying to convince him but till now I have not been able to win. “I’m just trying to make a football team but really I’m very excited for the future and my life has a new meaning,” Embiid said in a post on Instagram.
Embiid also thanked and appreciated Anne for bringing him into the world. Obviously, since he’s a huge fan of the game, he had to end it with a football punchline. The couple got married on July 22, 2023. A ceremony was held in Southampton, New York and they exchanged vows in a church. According to an interview with people magazineAnne said, “My man is my crush all day, every day.” They named their baby after Embiid’s late brother Authur.

In 2014, Joel Embiid lost his brother in a fatal car accident. This happened shortly after Embiid was added to the league. They were so close that they even thought about retiring before they even started.
