Travis Kelce jokes about how much money he’s spending on his family and friends at Super Bowl 2024: ‘I’m on top of that money’
No one is exempt from the expensive price tag of the 2024 Super Bowl — not even the players.
“I’ve really been doing nothing except counting how much money I can spend on this Super Bowl for family and friends,” Travis Kelce told his brother, Jason Kelce, on Thursday’s episode of “New Heights.” I am.” A podcast of his preparations for the big game this weekend.
“Just making sure I’m on top of those finances and losing all this money,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who has a reported net worth of $30 million, joked.
The Super Bowl — and the price of its VIP suites — has been a popular topic over the past few weeks as players’ family members have been voicing how expensive this year’s game seems.
The mother of San Francisco 49ers player Christian McCaffrey said no one in her family can afford to sit in a VIP suite because they cost millions of dollars.
“We looked at a suite, and neither of us could afford it,” Lisa McCaffrey admitted on her “Your Mom” podcast. “Not even Christian, there’s money bags – and no money bags Olivia [Culpo, his fiancée],
“So, we’re not in a suite. I’ll tell you this right now,” she added.
Lisa revealed she was able to “negotiate” a reserved area with eight tickets to watch her son and his team take on the Chiefs.
Along with the hefty price tag, Lisa said her NFL star son’s “best friends” will watch him play at a nearby bar and meet him afterward.

“In short, they are extremely expensive. … I don’t know if it’s the Taylor Swift factor, I don’t know if it’s the first time in Vegas factor, there’s just so much going on,” she explained.
Travis’ mother, Donna Kelsey, also shared that she didn’t think he would be sitting in a suite for the same reason.
“You understand, the boxes in Vegas are millions of dollars, so I feel like I’m not in a box,” Donna said on the “Today” show on Wednesday.
“I feel like I’m in the stands, as far as I know I’m in the stands with everyone else because it’s an expensive Super Bowl.”
Travis and Swift, both 34, have been dating since last summer.
