Travis Kelce knew what he ‘decided to do’ when he started dating Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey were fully prepared to deal with each other’s fame before they began their headline-making romance.
“They’ve built a lot of trust. They both knew what they signed up to do and took it in stride,” a source told Us Weekly in an article published Wednesday.
The source added that the couple’s relationship has only grown stronger despite the intense attention surrounding them.
“They are in love and don’t care what others think,” the source said, adding that Swift and Kelsey have found a “good balance” between being in the spotlight and being private with each other.
Another insider told the magazine that the Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 34, are “quiet guys” who enjoy their “free time” away from prying eyes.
“Staying at home is a luxury for them. They enjoy cooking together. It’s a refreshing contrast for them [public] “This is a huge disaster,” another source said.
Kelce has his own dedicated fan base due to his illustrious NFL career, in which he has already won three Super Bowl rings.
Meanwhile, Swift is on top of the world with her historic Eras Tour.
The pair have shown their support of each other’s careers, with the athlete attending many of the pop star’s concerts around the world, while she has become a permanent fixture at his games at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
Swift lovingly thanked Kelsey in her 2024 MTV Video Music Awards speech while accepting the Best Video of the Year trophy last week.
“I could always hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting [the ‘Fortnight’ music video]” he reminded the star-studded audience.
“And that one person was my boyfriend, Travis. Everything this man touches turns into joy, fun, and magic, and I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember it.”
The singer also made some explicit mentions of their relationship on her album “The Tortured Poets Department,” which she released in April.
Swift recently attended Kelce’s home game against the Cincinnati Bengals this past Sunday, though it’s unclear if she’ll be in the stands during his game against the Atlanta Falcons this weekend.
The music superstar and the “New Heights” podcast co-host began dating last summer and, according to a Page Six source, they’re set to get engaged any day now.
