Where is Kumail Nanjiani going on his first stand-up tour in 10 years?
All stand-up comedians and megastars wish to return to their roots.
For example, Adam Sandler repeatedly extended his nationwide arena tour through early 2024, Ellen DeGeneres toured for the first time in years this summer and Steve Martin and Martin Short are currently back on their ongoing “Dukes of Funnytown Tour.”
Now, we can add clever comedian turned “Silicon Valley” character actor turned “Big Sick” lead actor turned Marvel superstar Kumail Nanjiani to that list as well.
From September to December, the 46-year-old “Welcome to Chippendales” star will travel across North America on his first stand-up tour in a decade, which he’s dubbed the ‘Doing This Again Tour.’
And, though he doesn’t have any shows scheduled in New York at the moment — Nanjiani made his mark in the Big Apple in the late 2000s — he’ll be getting close when he performs at The Fillmore in Philadelphia on Saturday, Sept. 21.
“Watch my first hour of standup comedy in a decade,” Nanjiani wrote on Instagram. “Say hi, but do not say it during the show. It is considered interruption and is punishable by death.”
If you want to see the comedian live, tickets are available for all 15 shows on the ‘Doing This Again Tour’.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we found on tickets was $43 before fees at Vivid Seats.
