Which ‘Succession’ stars co-star in an intense Broadway satire?
The 19-time Emmy Award-winning “Succession” ends its run on May 28, 2023.
However, if you’re still hoping to find something, some of your favorite Waystar Royco stars are on Broadway.
From now through Oct. 27, Peter Friedman (Frank Vernon) and Sydney Lemmon (Jennifer, an actress in Willa’s play) are sharing the stage in the lively, grimly comic two-act play “Job” at the Helen Hayes Theatre.
The play by writer Max Wolf Friedlich tells the story of Jane (Lemmon), an overworked employee who goes viral after a bad mood at her tech job in California. As a result, she has to meet with the calm company therapist Loyd (Friedman).
To say anything more would spoil the fun of this intriguing drama lasting 80 minutes.
“‘Job’ will grab you the moment the lights go on and never let you go with its darkly comic yet disturbing insights,” said screenwriter Charlton Villavelez.
Johnny Oleksinski of the New York Post said, “Friedlich’s smart and often very funny screenplay actually bears a strong resemblance to that of Emerald Fennell, writer-director of the films ‘Promising Young Woman’ and ‘Saltburn.'”
If this sounds like a mind-bending corporate satire to you, tickets are available for all upcoming performances.
