Novak Djokovic will have a chance to win his 25th Grand Slam title at Wimbledon. On Friday, Djokovic defeated No. 25 Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 7-6, 6-4 to reach the Wimbledon final.

Djokovic will be looking to win his record 25th Grand Slam title. In addition, the Serbian star will be looking for his eighth title at Wimbledon, having won his most recent title at the All England Club in 2022.

Djokovic got off to a great start in the semifinal match on Friday. The 37-year-old won four of the first six games of the first set before Musetti made it 5-4. However, Djokovic came back and won the first set 6-4 on break point.

Djokovic faced the most resistance from his opponent in the second set. Djokovic was ahead 6-5 before Musetti won the next game to force a tiebreaker. However, Djokovic managed to outwit Musetti and won seven points without much effort.

Djokovic won the opening two games of the third set, but Musetti came back. Nevertheless, the 24-time Grand Slam champion won the final two games after levelling the third set.

In the first semifinal match, No. 3 seed Carlos Alcaraz defeated No. 5 seed Daniil Medvedev 6-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. Alcaraz has just returned after winning the 2024 French Open, where he defeated runner-up Alexander Zverev in the final.

Alcaraz and Djokovic are familiar with each other. Alcaraz won his second Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2023 when he defeated Djokovic in five sets. Djokovic holds a 3-2 lead in their all-time series, including a three-set win at the 2023 Cincinnati Masters.
